What Triggers Asthma?
|
Asthma triggers are anything that makes asthma worse. They can be things we breathe in, or they may be activities. The most common triggers of asthma are in the air. Asthma triggers are either called inflammatory or symptom triggers. Inflammatory triggers cause asthma symptoms by increasing the swelling inside the airways. Symptom triggers cause the muscles outside the airways to tighten and squeeze the airway. This brings on asthma symptoms especially when there is already swelling inside the airways.
Common inflammatory triggers include • Dust Mites • Pets • Colds • Pollution • Laughing • Exercise |
